Campground Rules & Policies

Since this is Privately Owned Land, it is expected that all rules and policies are adhered to. Thank You. 
LEAVE NO TRACE
​DO NOT cut down or damage any trees. Fines will be applied.
Using felled trees lying on the ground is permissible.


We do not have Spotted Lantern Fly in the area. We are in a Quarantined Area for the pest.
Please do not bring in wood from outside Monroe County. Firewood is available in the store.

We reserve the right to substitute sites of equal hook-ups.
On occasion, we need to move a reservation to a different site for unavoidable reasons. If we need to, we will choose a site with the same amenities and we'll let you know in advance.

Sites
  • Sewer hook-ups are required to be sealed. Please bring a sewer ring or purchase one at our camp store.
  • Do not walk through other sites. Do not walk between sites; it can damage our infrastructure.
  • Park on your reserved site or in the main parking area. Please do not park in an open site, See office for approved parking areas.
  • Dispose of all trash in the dumpsters by the store. Do not leave trash at the site or on the grounds. Clean-up charges will be applied.
  • No dumping of grey water or dishwater on the ground, please use the dump station located near the main bathhouse.​
  • Security deposits for rentals and/or a maintenance fee will be charged if site is not left the way you found it or if you have not informed us of any damage.
Day Visitors and Overnight Guests
  • Day Visitors allowed between 9 am - 9 pm
  • You must inform Camp Store of any visitor prior to they're arrival
  • Visitors must register in the office and obtain a car pass, you can pre-register your visitors
  • $5 per person for a day visitor over the age of 7
    • ​Fee returned if departure is within one hour
  • $10 per Overnight guests
  • Guests are the responsibility of the Registered camper and must follow all rules and guidelines.
Pets are Welcome - provided the following;
  • We have a STRICT PET LEASH POLICY. Dogs must be leashed at all times, handled by an adult, and picked up after.
  • We do have a Dog Park where pets can be off leash, located in the parking lot across from the Rec Hall
  • Do Not leave waste bags anywhere in the campground or at you site.     Clean-up charges will be applied
  • Dogs should not cause a disturbance, barking should be under control.
  • Pets should be non-aggressive around strangers and other animals.
  • Owner must have vaccination record on hand in case of incident.
  • 2 pets maximum are allowed in the rentals.
  • No animal should be left unattended outside anywhere in the campground.
  • ​During your stay please display registration pass in front windshield.
  • Up to 2 Gate Passes are given for each reservation. Additional Gate Passes are $3 each. These must be returned at check-out to avoid a $10 lost Gate Pass Fee
  • Speed Limit is 5 MPH
  • No firearms, weapons, or fireworks of any kind are allowed in the campground.
  • No Smoking in any buildings or pavilions, PA state law. Dispose of butts in designated areas.
  • Alcohol must be enjoyed responsibly and be kept at your site. No one under 21 is allowed to drink in PA.
    • Drunkenness will not be tolerated.
  • Parents or guardians are responsible for children at all times. Children under 15 years old should not be unattended.
Campfires
  • No burning of garbage, pallets, green wood, or chemically treated wood.
  • Campfires must be tended to at all times
  • All wood pieces must be kept within the fire rings.
  • Extinguish fires before leaving your site. Do not move fire rings.
  • Any trash, waste bags found in pits will incur clean-up charges.
  • Do not Cut/Damage any trees for firewood.
  • Do Not bring in firewood from areas outside Monroe County.

Pool
  • Open Memorial Day to Labor Day; 10 -8pm Daily, Weather Pending
  • No One Under 16 years old is permitted in the pool area without a parent or guardian.
  • No glass within the fenced area. Proper attire must be worn, Swimsuits only.
  • Obey all posted signs, no running or horseplay within fenced area.
            NO DIVING.
  • There is No lifeguard on duty. Use the pool at your own risk. Do not swim alone. 
ATV's, Bikes, Golf Carts, or Other sport related transportation
GOLF CARTS
  • Golf Carts must be registered and insured in accordance with PA state laws
  • No Riding after Dark, Golf Carts with headlights are the exception.
  • No one without a driver's license can drive a Golf Cart
  • Golf Carts must obey 5 mph speed limit
BIKE RIDING
  • Children under 12 must wear helmets, PA state law.
  • Please park bikes at the bike rack.
  • Bikes are not permitted to ride through either side of the main gate to prevent injury
  • Bikes can use the side pathway, yield to people walking
ATVs
  • ATV's are permitted from Memorial day - End of September for Dixon Miller Trail System
  • ATV's or other off road vehicles are NOT allowed to be driven throughout the campground unless riding from site directly to trail at 5mph​
  • ATV's must be registered and insured in accordance with PA state laws.
  • $5 charge per ATV per stay
  • No Dirt Bikes or Go Carts. Electric Golf Carts are preferred, check with the office.
Check in and Check out times:
  • Check in is between 3pm - 9pm
  • Check out is by 2pm, Cabin Check out is 1pm
  • If not arriving by 9PM, must notify office prior to 9PM
Quiet time is from 11pm to 8am
Please plan to arrive prior to 9pm or Check In the next day so as to not disturb other campers.

Groups: All Group Campers must arrive by 8PM or Check In the Next Day
Store Hours:
Mon - Thurs          10am - 6pm
Friday                 10am - 9pm
Saturday            8:30am - 9pm
Sunday             8:30am- 6pm

Early arrival or Late Departure: 
Is dependent on site availability.
  • Early Check In prior to 1pm is $15, $25 or $50 depending on site
  • Arrivals prior to 9am are considered an additional night
  • Late Check Out after 5pm is $15, $25 or $50 depending on site​
Payment is due in full at the time of making a reservation.
​Payments for Groups may be done by individuals payments.
Full payment is due 1 month prior to check-in.


We Accept:
  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express
  • Checks if paid at least two weeks prior to check-in
  • Cash

Cancellation Policy: 
Cancellations made prior to 1 week of check in date will receive a credit or refund less 20% per site.
​Cancellation made within 1 week of check in date will receive a credit useable within one year.


No Refunds for early departure, inclement weather, no shows, or removal from grounds.
Any problems or concerns while in the campground, please contact the office, contact 24/7 for any urgent matters or disturbances.

The facilities of Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground (PWC) are privately owned lands and available for the convenience of our registered guests for recreational use only. All persons using these facilities do so at their own risk and are expected to follow these campground polices. By signing that you have read these Policies, you agree to hold harmless Peaceful Woodlands Campground, its management and staff from any responsibility due to accidents, injuries or loss of property by fire, theft, wind, floods or any unforeseen act. PWC reserves the right to interpret these rules and policies as individual situations and needs arise. Please keep in mind that any failure to comply with these rules may incur fines or removal from the campground with no refunds. The person signing should be the person who's name the reservation is under and that person is responsible to ensure everyone in their party is aware of and complies with these policies.

PWC shall have the right to refuse or deny accommodations, facilities or privileges of a campsite to any person(s) who is unwilling or unable to pay for the accommodations and services, disorderly, or deemed a danger to themselves or others while in the campground. As we are a recreational facility, PWC has the right to refuse or deny accommodations to persons without a permanent address. PWC shall not be liable in a civil action or for a fine or penalty based on the refusal or denial.
